Tonagura First Impressions
Tonagura Ecchi Anime
My first impression of Tonagura was it will be a romance-comedy type of anime with some fan service and ecchi thrown in between. We were first introduced to Kazuki Arisaka being very happy knowing that her first love is coming back to be their neighbors just like the old times. She is very excited to meet him again after ten years and hopefully be able to confess her feelings for him. However, Kazuki's image of Yuuji as her prince charming was shattered when she discovered in an ecchi way how Yuuji has changed. Yuuji is now very ecchi (think of Fukuyama in Girls Bravo) and would leap at any girl he sees (main ingredient in ecchi anime).
Another common ecchi anime feature is that, Kazuki punches sends Yuuji flying (think of Narusegawa in Love Hina). Kazuki has a sister who's very laid back and Yuuji also has a sister who shoots Yuuji everytime he does something ecchi.
I predict that this will be a nice series to watch for everyone since it looks promising on the story. Although ecchi and fan service will sometimes enter the scene, it won't be much as I observed from Tonagura Episode 1. I think that Yuuji also have a good side aside from all that ecchi in him. It will be a mix of romance-comedy-high school life- and ofcourse, ecchi!
